Teresa’s Centre began with one encounter that changed everything.
It started with a woman who had walked a long and difficult road. She came to us feeling tired, unseen, and without hope – carrying the weight of many silent struggles and believing she had no real options. Her pain revealed something bigger than her story alone: the deep need for a place where women could be met with compassion, practical help, and genuine care in their most vulnerable moments.
That day became the spark that lit the vision for Teresa’s Centre – a safe haven where no woman would have to walk her journey alone.
Here, women are seen, valued, and supported with dignity and kindness. What began with one woman’s story has grown into a mission to offer hope to many.
Our vision is to create a world where every woman experiencing an unexpected pregnancy or post-natal difficulties feels supported, understood, and valued. We strive to be a beacon of hope, offering holistic care and community connection, ensuring that all women have the resources they need to thrive, not only as mothers but as individuals with dreams, aspirations, and opportunities for a bright future.
Our mission is to empower and support women facing unexpected pregnancies and challenges after birth by providing compassionate care, resources, and guidance.
We are committed to offering a safe, non-judgmental environment where women can receive the emotional and practical support they need to make informed decisions and navigate their journey with confidence and hope.
Teresa’s Centre is a ministry of MaroniteCare, established in 2004 as the welfare agency of the Maronite Eparchy of Australia. MaroniteCare exists to support, educate and empower individuals, couples and families to better participate in and contribute to the wider community.
